10 Halloween Movies Perfect for Little Kids

Halloween is such a fun holiday for adults and little kids alike. I love all the costume-planning, spooky dessert recipes and pumpkin decorating that come to mind. But on the other end, all the vampires, witches and goblins can be a bit much for kids...especially the younger ones that can scare easily and really just learning the basics, like getting used to the dark! It's tough to find a family-friendly Halloween flick that won't completely spook your toddler!

That's why this week, before all the gory horror flicks surface, I decided to round-up the best (not-so-scary) Halloween movies that would be perfect for little kids (and toddlers especially) to watch! Check out the list and let me know your recommendations in the comments!

The BEST Halloween movies for little kids! Whether it's for a scary movie night or party, here's our top movie picks, toddlers and preschoolers can have fun watching!

9. Spooky Buddies

From the Air Bud franchise, comes this tale about a group of puppies ready to enjoy Halloween. However, when one accidentally releases the dreaded Halloween Hound, their focus turns to stopping the evil antics of the Halloween Hound and Warwick the Warlock. The puppies and their new friends must have courage and a lot of teamwork in order to beat the warlock and save the world. (See Reviews.)

  10. Thanks for the list! We are watching Spooky Buddies as I type this. I kind of wish we could watch a few Halloween movies with a bit more spook to them, but my five-year old is just not into them yet. So this list is great! I had no idea there was a Grinch inspired Halloween movie? I will have to see if I can find that one!
