Yes, it is so true. You don’t know anything about giving birth and motherhood until you’ve tried it yourself. I think the main thing is to not judge other moms for doing something different than yourself. Give support rather just “advice.” I think at the end of the day, being a mom is a life changing experience that I wouldn’t give up for a second.

You hit it on the nose! I swear, it’s like I wrote it myself. My son is 7 months and such an easy baby compared to the horror stories of my friend’s kids. But I still can’t keep up with the housework, find energy & motivation to exercise, make a home cooked meal (not that I was doing that before I gave birth) or use any of what’s left of my intellectual capacity for anything but TV or social media. But my son is the greatest gift I’ve ever received and I’m so proud and happy (although very very very tired) to be his mommy.
