Early Motherhood: Love the Joy. Love the Chaos.
I stumbled upon a great blogging prompt from Trisha at MomDot this week and thought I would take a stab. The topic is “5 Things You Could Not Live Without.” Now as she mentioned, the key is “things” and I have to keep reminding myself that, otherwise my Chili and puppies would clearly be on top :).
So without further ado, here are my top five:
Whether it’s a brownie dessert or a one of those Elf Fudge cream-filled cookies, chocolate offers that perfect pick-me up needed after a long day of looking after the little one. If I don’t have my chocolate fill, I can get a little cranky ;)!
With little time to look pretty while caring for baby, the hair clip is the one thing that allows me to hide a mess of a hairdo and feel a little normal.
Watching a bunch of aspiring chefs compete under fire, while Gordon Ramsey screams at the top of his lungs is just what I need at the end of the day to unwind!
It’s been THE hottest summer in history. I have a newborn. Enough said!
My number 1 pick!!! But no surprise here because as a nursing mother I’m suppose to drink AT LEAST 8 glasses. This one is clearly one thing I could not live without!
What five things could you NOT live without?!

I LOVE Elf fudge cookies!!!
I couldn’t live without A/C or water, either!
Aren’t those cookies the best? 🙂
Uhhhg so many people saying chocolate!! It’s killing me (we have none in the house AND I’m dieting!) 🙂
I know it’s tough…I like to do just a little bit at a time to not over-indulge 😉
I enjoyed your list and have to agree particularly about the air conditioning as it is the first thing you realize you really need if you don’t have it.
Ah yes, and I learned the hard way this summer!!
Love me some Hell’s Kitchen.
My husband and I watch it each season. Such a great way to unwind!
Ohhh I could watch Gordon Ramsey talk about insurance in subtitles… I just LOVE him. I am sure you have seen Master Chef, right? LOVE that show too. Kitchen Nightmares… oh, and I think Hotel Hell or something is coming out soon… yyeeaaahhh I love him hahaha
Yes, I’ve caught a few episodes of Master Chef too! And Kitchen Nightmares is another favorite!! Great entertainment.
I think dana is gonna win!!
Yep, she and Christina are my top picks!
I love your photo of the Elf cookies! That was adorable!
I have never watched Hell’s Kitchen, the commercials for it seem so over the top! I will have to try it soon.
