Is your little one celebrating their very first birthday party soon? It is such a big milestone to celebrate!
First you are welcoming this beautiful little creature into your life and teaching him his very first words, watching him learn to crawl or walk and then, BAM. They are ONE! It really does go by too fast. I can’t believe that a WHOLE year has gone by already and my little munchkin, Chili, just celebrated his first birthday!!!
I really wanted to make this birthday milestone a special one, so like any excited parent I did a TON of research on cute themes, decorations and party games for babies. I even bookmarked some of those ideas on a Pinterest board once I settled on a dinosaur-theme.
All-in-all the day was a blast, as all the guests seemed to enjoy themselves. Even though the rainy weather forecast sabotaged my decorating and layout plans, we made the best of it and managed to capture all the fun moments we could! Here’s a look into our super fun dinosaur party!
Birthday Banners
Since this birthday party was for a baby, we thought it was important to get friendly-looking dinos the guest of honor would enjoy. Nothing too scary :)! So our birthday banners consisted of the cutest dinosaurs possible!
Dinosaur Center Piece
Inflatable dinosaurs
When it came to providing fun play activities that fit the theme, we found these baby-friendly inflatable dinosaurs and new they would be a hit!
Dinosaur Birthday Cake
We kept it simple for the birthday cake with a neon green colored vanilla cake to mimic a dino’s natural habitat and topped with an adorable triceratops fondant topper!!
Dinosaur Cupcakes
We made sure to include some homemade goodies too – with these chocolate and vanilla cupcakes embellished with our favorite plastic dinosaurs and dino-pop sticks.
1st birthday dinosaur hat
No party is complete without a party hat for the guest of honor – I had these custom made on Etsy incorporating our blue, green and orange party colors.
Dinosaur-themed goodie bags
Some fun party bags for our little friends.
Dinosaur Photo Booth
After taking to Pinterest for some fun party inspiration, I remember stumbling upon a variety of fun photo booths and carnival cutouts, perfect for little ones. I was so pleased when my sister-in-law volunteered to give it a go. It was such a hit! Our little guests had a blast hamming it our and making fun memories!

Love all the details you did for this party. Just wondering how you embroidered the birthday hat? And yes, the photo booth looks great. What an excellent idea for all kids birthday parties..
Thanks

Hi Kristine,
Thanks for visiting! How did you find my blog? I actually purchased the birthday hat via Etsy via Dainty Couture.
Hope that helps!

Hi I love all of these ideas. I’d particularly like to do a photo booth as well what did she do that on. I originally thought of doing it on a posterboard and then propping it up but I dont think that is going to work. Thanks!
