This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Sears and Latina Bloggers Connect.
I recently had the opportunity to preview a video Sears launched as a part of an ongoing effort to demonstrate all the ways customers can count on getting more from the brand. More value, more brands, more rewards. This “more to you” video series couldn’t be more genuine as it features surprises from real people based on real tweets from those who are looking to simply give more to those they love.
The video I watched featuring a young girl Jasmine, evoked tears of joy. Jasmine reached out to the brand to see if they could do something special for her hard-working father whose selfless spirit propelled him to never give up and build a house to provide for his family’s happiness. This video story could not be more genuine as the tears of joy streamed down faces to show raw emotions of love and appreciation the family shares.
Watching this video filled me with tears of gratitude and reminded me of the journey my mother faced. Working hard as a single-mother of five kids, she put aside her own needs and provided everything she could for her family’s happiness. Her goal was simply to raise happy and healthy kids to send off to good colleges to find a better future for themselves.
I remember everything she dealt with from supporting us on a very tight budget to always being there when we needed. She spent hours driving us to and from after-school activities, managed to always put food on the table and instilled in each of us the need to look to a higher power. She always wanted us to do our best in school and was able to send all five kids to competitive universities, despite the fact that she herself was unable to follow her dreams of a complete education. Her sacrifices remind me that it’s important to do more for those you love. Just like she did!
I encourage you to WATCH and SHARE the video below to hear more about Jasmine’s story and the surprise Sears gives her.
