Early Motherhood: Love the Joy. Love the Chaos.
Short post given that I thought this two-week update would be full of details of all the newest exercises I added to my daily routine. But that’s just not the case. I definitely am not doing as much as I’d like to be. Yes, again just haven’t found the time.
However, I did manage to sneak in a couple of quick 20-minute yoga practices! And boy did it feel good to stretch!! I think it was just the right push I needed to realize that it isn’t so bad and I can definitely ramp up my sweat level.
I also stumbled upon a great motivational quote from TheBump.com, which reminded me that the average amount of time it takes to lose the baby weight is at least 6 months…so yeah, I still have plenty of time!
Starting Weight: 183 lbs
Current Weight: 156 lbs
Change: -1 lb from the previous week
Achievements/Struggles: I gotta say, I’m proud that I finally popped in the postpartum yoga dvd and woke up some muscles I hadn’t used in awhile. Although the major struggle continues to be finishing a workout when baby decides to take cat-naps…. What am I doing during those longer stretches of naps? Eating and showering of course! Guess that gives me about 1 week to really push myself before I head off to the beach! Nothing like crunch-time to provide the right motivation.

Stopping by from the Mom’s Mingle! Hang in there with the working out! I’m in my 2nd trimester and trying to stay disciplined enough to do my prenatal Pilates. It’s never easy to find time, but always worth it:) Happy Monday!

Thanks! One day at a time is what I keep telling myself. Good luck with the prenatal exercises — I def thought I’d be able to work out more, but was just exhausted by the end of my 2nd trimester.
