Little Tikes has always been a family favorite brand. So when I was given the chance to review one of their newest toys, Big Dog Truck, as part of my Holiday Gift Guide I jumped at the opportunity. It’s a hot toy this season with fun sounds and vibrant colors to stimulate the imagination and keep toddlers entertained for hours.
The Big Dog Truck is a 3-in-1 toy that starts as a walker and converts to ride-on, and dump truck — offering tons of play options!
As a busy boy, our toddler loves ride-on toys so knew this truck would be a huge hit. He takes Big Dog all around the house and enjoys pulling the dump truck lever to release the 3 boulders. This mode is perfect for practicing small motor skills!
Big Dog comes with 7 sound effects when the nose is pressed and bumped to provide endless stimulation. Kids can also watch the Dog “eat” up the boulders as they ride around or even place the boulders into the storage unit — a convenient area for keeping the balls contained when not in use.
My son can’t get enough of this toy – from all the intricate details in the design (check out the paw prints on the tire rims and license plate that reads “Ruff”!) to all the interactive elements of sound and light.
Big Dog has easily become one of my son’s favorite toys already! I’m glad that it is a toy that grows with kids from 12 months to 3 years because my youngest son can use it as a walker as he quickly approaches that phase…I just hope big brother will be willing to share :).

I like that the seat opens up and could be used as storage.
I have a 16 month old grandson who would love this! He doesn’t have any riding toys, and this would help him improve his motor skills.
