Early Motherhood: Love the Joy. Love the Chaos.
I’m a chocolate lover at heart (no pun intended!) so had to try these easy-bake, delicious double chocolate brownies as Valentine’s day quickly approaches. I’ve seen so many incredible and inspiring pictures on Pinterest that piqued my interest and got me craving my own baked goodies!
Since I am always short on time these days with a little one tugging at my legs, I decided to pick up a box of Ghirardelli’s Brownies and Pillsbury Frosting for my semi-homemade version. Nothing at all wrong with that!
All you need to do is combine 1/3 cup of oil, 1/4 cup of water and 1 egg and brownie mix. Pour into a pre-greased baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes.
I then used various heart-shaped cookie cutters to make the brownies more Vday-friendly.
Finally I layered the brownies with the ultra smooth Pillsbury vanilla-flavored (hot-pink colored) frosting to complete the look.
That’s all to it! The hardest part was taking the pictures…and cleaning up the crumbs I left all over the counter, hehe. Enjoy!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
