Product Review: Herbal Essences Smoothing Serum & Heat Protection Spray

Recently, I was invited to be an Herbal Essences Influencer as part of the Mamás Latinas community.  As a member, I received a collection of great hair care products and simply asked to use and then talk about each, sharing thoughts on the experience with other moms in the Mamás Latinas community.

Not only was I super excited to be one of twenty-five chosen, but I couldn’t wait to sample some new hair care products!

I received four products in total, but just two that were perfect for my day-to-day styling routine:

• Herbal Essences Smoothing Serum
• Herbal Essences Heat Protection Spray

I decided to first try the smoothing serum, which helps to provide smooth and shiny locks with just a drop of product (literally)! And because I have very oily roots to begin with, I knew I had to follow the instructions verbatim or risk looking like a grease ball.

The results were quite impressive – not only was my hair shiny, soft and smooth afterwards, but the signature Herbal Essences fragrance never let down!

Next, I tried the heat protection spray, which is something so crucial for anyone who blow drys and flat irons their strands day after day!

I made sure to spray various sections of my hair for overall coverage and then got to work drying. Throughout the process, I could tell my hair wasn’t as fragile and prone to burning as it typically felt…the fact that it didn’t smell like fried hair was one giveaway 😉 – love the fruity/floral fragrance it left. I spritzed a little more here and there before flat ironing as well, which gave me the confidence that my hair was getting a good base coat when it needed it most.

The result: smooth, soft and clean smelling hair instantly! Definitely a product worth giving a try! 🙂
