Whether or not I want to admit it, we watch Frozen several times a week at our house. It’s hard to avoid it when your toddler is begging to “build a snowman.” And no matter how hard I fight it, those catchy lyrics always get stuck in my head! Sigh. So I’ve chosen to embrace it and love it with my son.
So because we watch the Disney movie so often, I like to couple it with some kind of activity. With Christmas just a few weeks away, I was inspired to create a snowflake ornament with him. Something that would be fun and include him in the tree-decorating process.
We decided on an easy 3-step DIY ornament including (affiliate links below):
We used 4 colored popsicle sticks and arranged them in a star-shape. The colored popsicles saves a TON of time, but you can also paint the sticks blue or dye with Kool-Aid to achieve the same look.
I glued the sticks together with a hot glue gun and let dry for a few minutes before picking out gems. We then glued an assortment of our favorite sizes and shapes to the sticks.
If little ones will be helping and you want to stay away from glue mess, you can try these self adhesive gems which are easier to work with.
That’s it!
You can use an ornament hook or ribbon to attach to the Christmas tree.
Super easy and cute to make after watching a week’s work of Elsa!

this is very clever and easy to make. Looks like a last minute ornament is going to be made for Gramma’s tree.
