What do you do when you’re pregnant and mingling with friends and family at the latest holiday party, admiring all the festive holiday cocktails adorned with candy canes and red, white and green liqueur?
You raise a glass and toast with your holiday mocktail (alcohol-free), that’s what you do!
Trust me, I know the feeling. I’ve been pregnant during the holidays 3 times so knew I had to find a way to safely join in the fun.
So today, I’m bringing you a delicious recipe for a smoothie “mocktail” that will leave you feeling energized and ready to celebrate with bells on!
This smoothie works well for anytime of the day, as a breakfast smoothie or afternoon snack. But during the holidays, I call this yumminess, The Grinch Mocktail Smoothie:
Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- 1 cup of frozen pineapples
- 1 1/2 cup of frozen mangos
- 1 cup of spinach
- 1 1/2 cups of orange juice
- Festive sprinkles
To start you’ll need to combine all your ingredients into a blender (I use the powerful NINJA brand) and grind for about 1-2 minutes depending on how frozen your fruits are.
Frozen fruits are easier to work with because they are already pre-cut and nice and cold to give you that fresh smoothie taste. You also then won’t need to add any additional ice.
While you have a minute, grab your favorite glass and decorate the rim with some honey – I like honey because it adds a little sweetness. You can then add colorful holiday sprinkles.
Once your fruit, spinach and juice are blended to your satisfaction pour that beauty into your glass and ENJOY!
How simple is that?
This smoothie is one of my FAVORITE smoothies of all time and is actually really good for you. My kids even love it!!!
So be sure to raise a glass at the next holiday or Christmas party and add this drink to the menu for all those moms-to-be ready to join in the festivities!

I want to drink this for breakfast, everyday. Loved how you decorated it for Christmas. I also was pregnant during Christmas time and it was by far the hardest time for actually wanting to have a drink and relax. I would have loved to have had this recipe!
