I love all the cute Halloween crafts I’ve been finding all over the web, from candy corn garland and pumpkin decorations to the array of toilet paper roll bats, there are so many great ideas flowing around! I had to get in on the fun. Again, my inspiration came from Pinterest for today’s kid’s craft: a Halloween “Trick or Treat” sign.
My toddler wasn’t in the mood to craft, so I had to borrow my 6 month-old’s feet for this one! He’ll definitely have one really cute piece of art in his keepsake stash :)!

Materials
- Small canvas
- Paint
- 2 Paint brushes (sponge + thin brush)
- Googly Eyes
Halloween Ghost Footprint Sign
I painted the canvas orange using a small sponge brush and let it dry overnight. You probably only need to let it dry for a few hours, but I gave it more time to ensure it was completely dry before painting over it.
I then painted my little one’s feet with some washable Crayola paint before pressing it onto the canvas. This was probably the hardest part of the craft since getting a growing baby’s foot to keep still isn’t always easy. I think the print was good enough so we let it dry before writing out the good ole’ “Trick or Treat – Smell my Feet” verbiage. (Note: I used washable paint because I felt more comfortable using that with my baby, but you can also find non-toxic acrylic paint that will make this piece of art a true keepsake and prevent it from washing away in the rain!)
Once everything was dried, I simply glued two tiny googly eyes and set up the display.
I loved how perfect this craft was for little ones! A fun and quick way to create some Halloween decor!
Do you have any other “foot print” type craft for little ones?

I need to do this with my kids! My little one is turning 1 and am terrible at marking all the little milestones.
