15 Kid-Friendly Apple Snacks

269shares

This is the time of year that I really love! Summer slowly draws to a close and the beautiful Fall foliage begins to make an appearance. We already have piles of leaves all over the yard!

But it’s also the time of year our news feeds are flooded with all sorts of apple recipes and activities…I can only wonder when my toddler will finally start entertaining the idea of eating apples during snack time! He’s been a very picky-eater from the start…apples being one of his least-favorite fruits.

So I started to think long and hard on ways to get him to join in the fun apple-picking and apple-eating season. That’s why today I rounded up yummy and kid-friendly apple snacks that I think my toddler (and yours!) would be happy to snack on. kid-friendly apple recipes

1. Apple Cheesecake Quesadillas

This first recipe caught my eye instantly! Not only does it look incredibly delicious (so I know my toddler will try it!) but it is a great alternate to some other super sweet pastries my toddler sometimes begs for (ahem, Dunkin Donuts)!

2. Apple French Toast

Love the simple twist to your standard french toast here — who knew adding some apples drizzled with a little bit of cinnamon and nutmeg could be so scrumptious!

3. Apple Sandwich Wrap

This is such a clever little idea to try! My 2 year-old loves cheese and the occasional cold-cut, but hates it within a sandwich. I never thought to create a little apple wrap to make it more appealing.

4. Apple Cookies

Cookies. Every kid I know can never get enough cookies. Enough said!

5. Apple Pie Crescents

The image for this one had my mouth watering. I couldn’t even believe it was a 3-ingredient recipe! I’m a total sucker for anything easy to make and just love that my toddler can help make this snack!

6. Warm Cinnamon Apple Chips

Anytime my son hears the word “chips” he is there. This is a great alternative to your standard potato chips!

7. Peanut Butter Banana Apple Smoothie

I only recently hopped on the smoothie bandwagon and have never looked back. Such an easy way to get your necessary fruit and veggie intake!

8. Apple Snack Cake

I really love that this sugar-pecan covered apple cake looks absolutely delicious and works as either a breakfast, snack or dessert!

9. Crispy Apple Fries

My toddler LOVES fries. I’m not going to deny that. I figure if there’s fruit in there it will at least be a healthier alternative…and these look simply delicious!

10. Shrek Apple Snack

This apple snack was just too cute not to add to the list. It’s amazing what cute cartoon characters can do to make a piece of food look more appetizing to kids.

11. Caramel Apple Energy Balls

What I love about this apple snack is that it is not only healthy, but also the perfect size for toddlers. Makes my life much easier!

12.  Apple Oatmeal Muffins

The one food my toddler is actually crazy about is oatmeal. Every morning he will gobble up a bowl of apple-cinnamon flavored oatmeal. This muffin recipe is therefore something I will definitely be trying to increase his fruit intake.

13. Apple Peanut Butter Snack

I love that this snack is super simple to put together — perfect for an on-the-go snack!

14. Apple Rings

Like I said before, anything that looks like a pastry has a better shot at being consumed by my picky eater!

15. Caramel Apples

I couldn’t leave off candy apples in a apple roundup!! I love that you can customize the apples and use pretty much anything your child loves here to mask the flavor. Not every kid likes apples, so you do what you have to, as a parent!

Have any more kid-friendly (and mom-approved) apple snacks to add?
