Hooray, It’s My SITS Day!

I’m so thrilled that my SITS day has finally arrived :)!

I’ve so been looking forward to being one of the lucky featured bloggers on such an amazing and supportive site for female bloggers. If you are not familiar with the SITS Girls you should definitely check them out.

Blogging Resources for WomenFor those of you who are stopping by for the first time, WELCOME! Thank you for taking the time to visit and learn more about my blog.

I started blogging here at Mommy’s Bundle 2 years ago as a means of documenting my pregnancy journey as an expectant mother for the first-time.  I’ve always wanted to have my own blog and thought it would be a seamless transition, with a background in marketing and all. But then reality hit me.  A full-time job in the office didn’t leave for much blogging time, and then once the newborn arrived and I was a SAHM/WAHM even LESS time was available to devote to building my blog.  The little ones just demand so much attention and can’t be ignored.

Nonetheless, I managed to make it work…and although I haven’t quite reached my targets I am back on track.   Although as life would have it, I am expecting baby #2 now, hehe, so you can imagine how long this will last.

I don’t know how mom bloggers do it. Finding time to raise babies, handling the chores around the house and then finding time to write.  It is no easy task and I applaud those mothers who have been able to do it, and still devote all the necessary time to their family. If you did, I’d love to know the secret ;)?!

Congrats on your SITS day and to be honest – congrats on managing to get washed & dresses everyday with a baby, let alone trying to blog about it too!
Slow and steady wins the day remember so you should never panic about building your blog. I’m looking forward to having a look round 🙂

      Thanks for visiting Julie!

And yes, to be honest, some days ARE a pajamas-all-day type of day, haha!! It can be so challenging caring for kids when they are so young and trying to build a blog, but I totally agree about doing it gradually and appreciate the feedback!

    Hi Ana,
I found that the first few years of motherhood demanded a TON of attention and energy, but eventually I figured out what pockets of time I had to write. Best wishes on the safe delivery of your second child!

Thank you Lynn! These are definitely the most demanding years!! I’ve learned to make time to write at the end of the day once the little guy is asleep and dinner is out of the way. Takes away from your sleep, but guess that’s what you gotta do!

That is good to know! Maybe that is the secret…waiting ’til your kids are a little older and independent to start ramping up blog efforts. Thanks for feedback!!

Hooray for your SITS day! (I found you through your link on the SITS page.) You are so right–it’s hard to balance blogging with work and/or a little one, much less both. And congrats on the second little one! Seems like you’ll have a lot to blog about in the coming months–if you can grab a minute or two! 🙂 (As the mom of a seven month old, I totally hear you on the lack of personal time.)

      Appreciate the comment Natalie!

Even though these are demanding times, you make a good point about all the additional blog topics they make for — I’ll have to start planning out more content in advance!

Congrats on the SITS feature and the baby on the way!! I am a mommy of 4 and it gets tricky to balance it all. If you look at my blog, it’s not as consistent as I would like, but this year I’m working on that! I think it’s different for each of us. Some can schedule time to blog and stick to it. Others just blog when the kids nap or are occupied for a few moments. I find that when I let go of the expectation to blog daily and started with weekly, it let up some pressure. I think once I get weekly down, then I can bump up from there. You will get there, sleep deprived and all!! Good luck!

Great advice! Totally agree, that everyone works a little differently, but definitely helps when the little ones are sleeping. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment Andrea.

Cute blog! As a mom of a 2.5 year old and almost 9 month old…I feel your pain! And here’s the secret…you know that “handling the chores” part of being a mom? Yeah, cut that down. Don’t invite people over and learn to live in the mess! Ha!

Hi, Happy SITS day and congratulations on your second pregnancy. I think you are a super mom…being pregnant, looking after a wee one and still finding time to blog! I’m a mom of two (1.5 yrs and 6yrs), I work (teacher) and blog too. I love writing but finding time to write is quite tricky nowadays which I think is something we both can relate! But this year, I’m trying to blog more often no matter how busy I am. Will definitely visit you again. I love your blog design and the colours you’ve used. Best of luck from the sunny side of life <3

I have three and when people say they don’t know how I do I confess that my house is a mess. I’ve learned that some things will be out of order and the less you stress the more you can do!

I think my best piece of advice to you would be to enjoy every moment, even the harried, crazy ones! I didn’t always remember that when our older three were in this stage, but now that we have a toddler again, I’m trying to remember that daily. It really does go by way too fast!
